Instituto wonderkid Paulo Dybala has admitted that it would be a dream come true to play alongside Lionel Messi in the Argentina national team, while adding that despite reported interest from Europe he was no tempted to swap Cordoba for Inter or AC Milan.
The striker, who only turned 18 in November, has established himself as the revelation of the Nacional B season at the head of the division's pace-setters. A hat-trick on Monday evening took Dybala to 16 goals in 26 games since making his debut in August 2011, and also allowed Instituto to leapfrog River Plate and return to the top of Argentina's second tier.
Speaking the day after his triple, Paulo revealed that he was delighted to receive praise from such figures as Albiceleste coach Alejandro Sabella, and hoped to one day share a field with Barcelona record-breaker Messi.
"I have seen what Sabella said and the fact he is talking about me means that I am doing something right; now I have to continue along the same road," the teenager told Radio Rivadavia on Tuesday.
"It would be a dream to play with Messi, to even share a squad, a stadium or a training session with the best player in the world would be a dream come true."
Dybala's goalscoring exploits for the Cordoba side have attracted attention from Europe, with clubs such as Inter, Milan and Lazio all rumoured to be following his development. When questioned on a possible transfer, however, the striker insisted that nothing could be further from his mind.
"For now I am not thinking about Europe, I am focused on Instituto. A lot gets said, but I am not thinking about that."
Paulo is an ever-present for Instituto in the 2011-12 season and only Fernando Cavenaghi of River, with 17 strikes, has scored more than the Laguna Larga native.
