Cavani not leaving Napoli, says De Laurentiis

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has insisted that Edinson Cavani is not leaving the club at the end of the 2011-12 campaign.

The Uruguay international has continually been linked with a move to a bigger club, and refused to rule out a summer transfer earlier in April. Nevertheless, De Laurentiis does not think that the 25-year-old will say farewell to the Partenopei.

"Cavani is a great guy and he is staying here, just like all the other players who want to remain at Napoli," he told Il Corriere dello Sport.

De Laurentiis then went on to admit that Ezequiel Lavezzi has a buy-out clause in his contract, and added that the Argentine could be on the move.

"He wanted to have that clause inserted when he signed, so there's a big chance it will be used at some point. We will just have to wait and see whether there are clubs ready to match his clause.

"Lavezzi is in my heart, but if he wants to leave, we will have to let him go if a team meets his buy-out clause."

Napoli are currently preparing for Wednesday's Serie A match away against Lecce.
